Greetings on behalf of the Shelby Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. of Shelby, North Carolina!

We are a chapter and sorority devoted to Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service. As we move forward in this new biennium, we shall remain committed to serving our community and making meaningful contributions by being active and engaged, partnering with organizations and stakeholders, and improving our outputs and outcomes through our Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health and Social Action.

Our chapter's legacy has been built on visionary women who sacrificed their time, talents, and resources that ensure that those who followed would have a firm foundation upon which to build. The Shelby Alumnae Chapter was chartered in March of 1983, and we honor our legacy by committing ourselves to excellence in every program, every committee, every meeting, and every interaction.

We understand that our impact is important and that we are not a sorority that is next, we are a sorority that is needed now to make a difference, to create change, and to help build stronger and healthier communities rooted in resilience and united in purpose.
